Split payment

What is split payment?

When the parameter splitpayment is set to 1, you can split a payment up in two or more transactions and capture smaller parts of the amount one at a time. You can keep capturing until the full amount has been captured. When using split payment, the full amount is not reserved, which is standard procedure. Instead, the payment is only approved and the payment card validated.

Supported acquirers

Split payment is only supported by transactions to Nets/Teller. The other acquirers will be added later.

Nets' error code 116 - no sufficient funds

If you're faced with an error code 116 from Nets when trying to capture a part of the amount, the reason is that the amount is not available on the payment card.

We strongly recommend that you capture the amount before shipping the product to the customer.
